The ladder

Tier	Rating	Divisions	What it means
Legend	2800+	–	No ceiling above it. Season-end ranks are snapshotted for keeps.
Grandmaster	2500–2799	–	A handful of players per season, per game.
Master	2300–2499	–	Ratings slow down here: K drops from 24 to 16 above 2300.
Diamond	2000–2299	III–I	Rare air. Points now come almost only from beating stronger players.
Platinum	1700–1999	III–I	The top of the ordinary ladder, and where opponents stop making mistakes.
Gold	1400–1699	III–I	You beat players at your own level more often than not.
Silver	1100–1399	III–I	The starting band. Every new account is seeded at 1200 rating.
Bronze	0–1099	III–I	Below the 1200 start. You arrive here by losing more than you win.

Everyone starts at 1200. Bronze through Diamond carry three divisions each; Master, Grandmaster and Legend stand alone.
