One shared board, alternating turns, and pairs that are worth very different amounts.

One shared board, controlled by the server. Players alternate turns.
A turn is two card reveals.
Match a normal pair for 1 Vault Point, clear it, and take another turn.
Miss and the turn passes.
Some pairs are special, and you only find out when you flip them.
Intel: one controlled peek at a face-down card.
Key: unlocks a sealed section of the board.
Credit: 2 Vault Points.
Alarm: a short memory sequence. Finish it or lose your next turn.
Override: the server reshuffles a small group of face-down cards and shows you the new layout briefly.
You can hold one unused ability at a time.
The vault opens in three stages: Outer Vault, Security Chamber, Core Vault.
Deeper sections hold richer pairs and worse traps.
Win by hitting the target Vault Point total, or holding the most when the board clears.

Vault Raid keeps its own record. Separate rating, separate placements, separate leaderboard and separate match history. Nothing you earned in Classic carries across, in either direction.
