Enshrouded can satisfy 9 challenge templates: 3 written specifically for Enshrouded, plus 6 shared with other Survival titles. A template is only used when Enshrouded has the content it needs, which is why you never get a “win with a random weapon” run in a game with no weapon list.
Blanks in a template are filled from Enshrouded's own library: 12 Bosses, 7 Biomes and 12 Weapons. Difficulty scales the restriction rather than the wording: easy asks for one clean objective, medium and hard lock you out of your comfort picks, and insane stacks no-hit, no-heal and single-item rules on top. Enshrouded's pool holds 1 easy, 4 medium, 3 hard and 1 insane templates. Between the templates and the content they draw from, the generator can build 430+ distinct Enshrouded challenges.
